You have to ask yourself: why would anyone want an old [car]
battery? The answer is: nobody really does, but they do know where
to find a brand new one tomorrow. So they steal your battery & then
they know you gonna go right to Sears & buy yourself a diehard &
that's the one they really want.
If they were nice to bring you back the other one--that would be
nice, but they typically don't do that because their fingerprints
are all over it.
