Placing implicit trust in prophetic dreams

Latest update:

"... a certain wealthy man, whose mansion stood on the north side of the mountains, of Presseli [Preseli Hills, Pembrokeshire, Wales], had dreams for 3 successive nights, in which he was admonished that if he went to a fountain in the neighbourhood, called St. Bernac’s well, and put his hand down to the stone which lay over the spring, he would draw out a collar of gold.

On the 3rd day the man did as he was bidden, and putting his hand into the hole, a viper bit his finger, and he died in consequence."
