Because developers can't spell
Latest update:
Reading in the papers how a typosquatted python library was
stealing ssh/gpg keys--for nearly a year before it was
spotted--reminded me how much times have changed.
In the good ol' days, if you misspelled a library name, you would
get just a friendly message in return:
$ gem i -N nokogirl
Fetching nokogirl-1.0.gem
********************************************
It's actually spelled nokogiri, not nokogirl
********************************************
Successfully installed nokogirl-1.0
1 gem installed
