It's an old device that is still being produced & it's the one that
ⓐ supports headset-head-unit-msbc, ⓑ actually works with
PipeWire 0.3.40 & Linux 5.15.8.
It requires a firmware blob from Broadcom, though. I took the rpm for
Fedora 35 from here.
I also wasted several hours trying to make Edimax BT-8500 (rtl8761bu
chipset) work in msbc mode to no avail. Although the headset mic
worked every time, the playback would regularly cut off without any
visible indication of why. It was horrible, don't buy that dongle,
despite of what nonsensical praises you may read on Reddit.
